Embroidery Digitizing

Embroidery Digitizing is the process of converting an image of your design to a file type that embroidery machines can read. Our convenient customer portal makes it easy to get estimates, place orders, and request edits on your files. Our digitizing staff follow specialized standards for each garment type, ensuring the best quality embroidery.

No vector? No problem!

We do not require vector artwork for digitizing. Simply upload a PDF, PNG, JPG, or other image file. Clear, straight photos of previous embroidery are also accepted. We digitize everything manually within your chosen software, meaning we are able to make adjustments for tricky areas that might be overlooked with auto digitizing.

Submitting an order

Fill out their online portal with the necessary information.

Be sure to keep the settings to the right the same. For all the other ones, it will be based on what you are embroidering on.

Fabric Type

Different materials require slight adjustments when setting up a logo due to variations in fabric tension. If your order includes multiple fabric types, default to Moisture Wicking/Dri-Fit settings for polos. For hats, always default to a 6-panel hat.

Hat vs. Flat

If your order includes both hats and flat items, and the logo size is identical for both, you may create one digitized file for hats—but not for flats. Think of it like this: All squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares. A hat logo can be used on a flat item, but a flat logo cannot be used on a hat.

You might be wondering, "Why not just digitize everything for a hat?" The answer lies in the subtle differences between materials. Even slight variations in digitizing can cause fonts to stitch incorrectly or misalign parts of the logo. While these differences are small, they can affect the final result.

Scaling Images

When resizing an image, be sure to click the slider—you only need to set one dimension to maintain the correct aspect ratio.

Standard Sizes:

  • Reference the image on the right for any flat items.

  • Small areas (such as bag panels, sleeves, and the sides/back of hats) require a 12cm hoop.

  • Back of hats have a maximum width of 3.25”.

  • Standard left/right chest logos are set using a 15cm hoop.
